Tailor Made Compounding describes itself as a 503A pharmacy in its own published company materials online. The label matters. A 503A pharmacy is licensed by state boards of pharmacy and compounds for individual patients who have a prescription. Its preparations are not FDA-approved, which means no federal agency has reviewed that specific formula for safety, effectiveness or manufacturing consistency before it reaches you.
A 503B outsourcing facility is different: it registers with the FDA, can produce batches without patient-specific prescriptions, and is inspected against federal manufacturing standards. Neither model is automatically better for a patient. They simply sit under different oversight, and knowing which one filled your vial tells you which regulator to ask about.

Two federal actions from 2020 are on the record.
