Buying from Canada as a US patient: what the rules allow
You can order, and many people do, but the legal footing is narrower than the marketing suggests. Importing a personal supply is handled through FDA enforcement discretion, described in the agency’s personal importation policy. Discretion means the agency may choose not to act, not that you hold a right.

Direct oral anticoagulants are the clearest case against cutting a refill fine. The Eliquis prescribing information carries boxed warnings that stopping early raises the risk of thrombotic events, including stroke, and that spinal or epidural hematoma can occur with neuraxial anesthesia. Public sentiment in this category is unusually hard to attribute, and that is the finding rather than a hedge. Dozens of storefronts share almost the same name, so a glowing testimonial page, a Better Business Bureau profile or an app-store listing may belong to a different company than the domain you are about to pay. Match the legal entity name on the checkout page against the name on any profile you read, and discount anything you cannot match.
The signals that are attributable are the register lookups: CIPA membership, the NABP consumer listing, LegitScript certification, and the provincial pharmacy register entry for the pharmacy that fills your order. A named licence beats a five-star average from an unnamed source.
