For a first visit, expect a real-time video appointment with a licensed clinician rather than a form-only sign-up, especially where a prescription is involved. Rules on audio-only care, remote patient relationships and payer requirements have shifted more than once, so treat anything you read as current only until you check it. The rule that decides most of this is simple: the clinician needs a license for the state where you are physically sitting during the visit, not the state where the company has an office.
